Warner Studios

I felt like a little kid yesterday. I had a meeting with a producer who works on the Warner Brothers studio lot in Hollywood. He took me on the all-access Golf cart tour, and I couldn't believe how big the place is. We cruised by the exterior of E.R. as they shot a scene in the "ambulance bay" complete with fake snow on the ground in the 70 degree California weather. We saw the miles of costumes housed on set including an entire rack of gladiator costumes. I knocked on the plastic facade of the Whitehouse exterior from West Wing, walked onto a live rehearsal for Joey (no Matt LeBlanc sightings), and I even got to see the top-secret hidden set from Friends, and sit on the couch from the Central Perk coffee shop (ergo the pic here).
I've been in the television business for 12 years, but it's so different when you go behind the scenes of a series you grew up with.
